Tournament Rules

General 

Games will consist of a 5-minute warm-up followed by two 20-minute runtime periods. 

No icing. 

Penalties 

No slap shots. Minor penalty will be assessed. 

All minor penalties are 3 minutes. 

Major penalties are 5 minutes and player will be subject to further discipline. 

Tie Breakers 

Regular games ending in a tie will go to a 3-person shootout, followed by sudden-death single shooters if necessary. 

No repeat shooters permitted. 

Tie breakers for playoff rounds are as follows: 

• record between tied teams 

• plus/minus 

• least goals against 

• least penalty minutes

• coin toss

Crossovers and medal games ending in a tie will go to a 5-minute overtime. If necessary, this is to be followed by a shootout (abiding by rules already listed for shootouts). 

No protests will be entertained.
